Zoom Integration Overview

The Poly Lens Connector for Zoom Device Management is an application designed to integrate with Zoom's ecosystem. The integration works by providing key Zoom health indicators of Poly Zoom Android video devices within the Poly Lens portal. This integration is built on OAuth 2.0, ensuring secure and standardized authentication, allowing Poly Lens to access ZDM data securely and only retrieve the necessary data to streamline device management.

Zoom Scopes​

The Poly Lens Connector for Zoom Device Management will allow for the following Zoom Scopes with administrator authentication. The Zoom Role required to complete this authentication will require the following permissions:

View all user information
user:read:admin
Poly Lens utilizes this scope to determine user account types via the /users/me endpoint. It ensures that the integration process is compliant with the Poly Lens requirement to integrate with Zoom licensed accounts only.

Manage device
device:read:admin
This scope is essential for Poly Lens to access detailed device status information through /devices and /devices/{device_id} endpoints. It enables administrators to monitor and manage individual Poly devices integrated with Zoom, facilitating efficient device management and enhanced reporting capability.

View all users' Zoom Rooms information
room:read:admin
This scope allows Poly Lens to obtain Zoom Room status data through the /rooms endpoint. This capability allows Poly Lens admins to have a comprehensive view of all matching Zoom Rooms with Lens Rooms, enabling better management and reporting of room status and usage for Zoom Rooms in Poly Lens.

View all users' Zoom Room usage statistics and information

Poly Lens uses this scope to report on the status of a single Zoom Room, utilizing the REST endpoint/metrics/zoomrooms/{room_id}. This information is crucial for administrators to monitor and manage room availability and usage within the Poly Lens platform, ensuring efficient use of resources.
